WHAT TO wear for holiday FAMILY PHOTOS

Are you looking for some guidance about what to wear for your Christmas photo session? Color choice, style, and patterns are a number one concern for most when it comes to photos, but I've put together a guide to help make the challenge much easier. Scroll through for color and style inspiration!

PLEASE REMEMBER to take a look at the temperature and layer up if its looking cold so we can enjoy the photos and prevent anyone being too cold.

CLASSIC PINE TREE THEME

Match the set up perfectly with this classic theme using green pine. Choose different shades to make sure everyone different from each other.

HAVE FUN & BE MERRY

Theres no specific rules on what you can and cannot wear. If you like fun colors go for it!

STAND OUT IN REDS

Have fun and stand out with Reds. Avoid a bright red and choose a mix of dark and faded light reds.

MIX IN SOME BLUES

Choose some blues that are calm and will work well with browns and tans. Its a great option!

EARTH TONES ALWAYS WORK

Tans, Greens, and Browns always work and allow your faces to stand out in the photos, not just your outfits.

BOLD & COOL PINE TREE THEME

Be bold with these dark strong colors in red and green with a cool tone.

what to avoid

bold patterns

Choose small minimal patterns with smaller details and avoid large bolder stripes or strong plaids. We want cute fun patterns that add to the photos, not strong patterns that pull attention away from your faces.

Uncomfortable materials

Choose materials and outfits that you and your children are comfortable in. The last thing we want is constant fidgeting and tucking in and out and painful shoes. We want to focus on having fun and exploring.

over matching

We want to avoid too many of the same exact color and shade, or too much black. When using tight group poses, if we have same colors, the clothes will cause confusion about where one body begins compared to another.
